Recipe: Apple Pie with Datehini Cinnamon

I had unexpected guests the other weekend. I wanted to serve them some bakery with coffee that I could prepare in 10 minutes. Here is yet another amazing recipe of quick, delicious and nutritious snacks you can prepare and serve in 30 minutes. 

Ingredients:

1 puff pastry sheet, cut into circles

For the stuffing:

4 oz of apples, peeled and cubed

2 tbsp of lemon juice

2 tbsp of Cinnamon Datehini

For the rest:

1 egg, scrambled (for the egg wash)

 

Instructions:

In a saucepan, add the apples, lemon juice and cinnamon datehini

Cook on a medium heat, for about 10 minutes, stirring regularly

When ready - take if off the heat and let cool down for 15 minutes

Now stuff the puff pastry circles with 1 tbsp of apple and datehini stuffing

Close the pies and seal the sides with a fork - so the stuffing stays safe inside

Brush the pies with the beaten egg

Cook in a hot oven, set to 375F, for about 25-30 minutes
